Yoga Intensive Courses for Beginners and Mixed Level Students

 

This course is suitable for students of all levels.  It will be adapted to suit your ability and prior knowledge of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.  It is ideal for those who would like to develop a daily yoga practice without the responsibility of becoming a teacher.   The course will provide you with the fundamentals of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: breath, bandhas, vinyasa and drishtis.  Alignment Classes will run alongside Led Classes for you to gain familiarity with The Primary Series.  Pranayama Classes will be give as well as the theory to support.

 

This course would also be ideal for those of you who would like to develop a practice prior to yoga teacher training.  It provides an insight into what Ashtanga Yoga is and allows you to start developing an Ashtanga Yoga pratice if you haven't been practicing Ashtanga Yoga previously.  The course gives you a taste of what to expect on your YTTC and can be considered as a Pre Teacher Training Course.

 

Technical Workshops will take place in the afternoon for you to focus on key areas such as Hip Opening, Backbending and Jump Back techniques.  

 

 

Duration
1 to 3 weeks intensive courses starting most Mondays throughout the season.
If you book a 2 week course that runs for the first 2 weeks of any of the YTTCs, you will follow the YTTC schedule and recieve a 100 hr Yoga Alliance registered certificate.  For the dates, please see the Teacher Training 200 hr page.
Classes run from Monday to Saturday with Sunday off.

Example of daily schedule*:

  • 7.00 - 7.30 am:   Pranayama / Meditation
  • 7.30 - 9 am:   Ashtanga Vinyasa  Primary Series Led Class / Hip Opening Flow (Wednesdays)
  • 9.00 - 10.00 am:   Breakfast
  • 11.00 - 12.00pm:   Alignment Class
  • 12.00 - 1.00am:     Lunch
  • 5.00 - 6.30 pm:   Hip Opening / Backbending / Jump Back Workshops / Restorative Flow
  • 7.30 - 8.30 pm:   Dinner

*The schedule can change according to the group and weather.

Once a week: MOVIE NIGHT showing yoga documentaries

Once a month:  Full Moon Meditation

Refund Policy:Pre-booking fees are transferable, but non-refundable. Any fees paid, can be transferred to any other course with us providing the start date is within 6 months of the booking. You must however inform us 4 weeks prior to the start date of your training.
Course fees include:
Manuals, stationnary, healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, refreshments and filtered water
Wi-Fi internet (all day available)
Airport shuttle service can be arranged on request at the rate of 30 Euros.
