Patnem Beach is an appealing choice in South Goa and an ideal location for The Yoga Village. It has retained its peacefulness and natural charm despite growing numbers of tourists to the area. The beach itself is lined with bars, restaurants and beach hut accommodation. Sun loungers are in abundance. The hospitality of the Patnem locals awaits you.
Choose from the many dining options that offer international cuisine from all corners of the globe as well as traditional Goan Curries and seafood specialities. It is ideal for those who don't want action packed nights out, opting for civilised dinners on the beach, maybe a cocktail or two at sunset. It is a great place for guests to avoid distractions and be truly yogic if that is what you are looking for. Often, a soda on the beach is enough to unwind after a full day of yoga teacher training.
The Yoga Village is situated right on Patnem Beach, metres away from the sea. We are the only Yoga Teacher Training School to have such a location. This means that our students can benefit from our amazing views during practice whether at sunrise or sunset. We often take meditation walks on the beach and full moon meditations at the sea’s edge. Every day, we encourage students to appreciate some quiet beach time after an intense morning practice. And, it is never too far to go for a lunchtime beach nap or a dip in the sea between classes for a much needed cooling down. We believe our location is simply paradise.
If you are looking for some evening entertainment, you are not far away from the bright lights of Palolem. Here you will find a later night in terms of a social scene, sometimes a welcome alternative to quietness and early nights of Patnem. Palolem is only 5 minutes away from the shala and can be reached by rickshaw.
